Data Privacy in Fujitsu’s Services

1 Fujitsu’s General Privacy Policy

Fujitsu Finland Oy and its subsidiaries (collectively “Fujitsu”) are committed to respecting your privacy. It is of utmost importance to Fujitsu to protect the personal data of users of its services, such as name, address and e-mail address. Fujitsu complies with applicable data protection legislation when processing personal data.

2 Outsourcing Data Processing to Fujitsu

Fujitsu provides a wide range of IT services to enterprises, which it has as its customers. In these cases, Fujitsu’s customer has outsourced the provision of a specific service and also, the processing of personal data (“Personal Data”) related to such a service, to Fujitsu.

Fujitsu complies with applicable data protection legislation when processing Personal Data. According to Finnish data protection legislation, in cases of outsourced services the owner of the Personal Data, i.e. the customer is obliged to ensure that Personal Data is processed in accordance with the law and that a record of processing activities is maintained. The obligation to establish and maintain a record of processing activities remains with the customer, even when Fujitsu acts as an outsourced processor of Personal Data. If data subjects require further information about the record or about the principles of collecting and processing Personal Data, their primary contact is the relevant client company.

As an outsourced processor of Personal Data, Fujitsu only processes the client company’s Personal Data for the specific purpose identified by the customer and subject to applicable data protection legislation. Fujitsu does not disclose Personal Data to third parties with the exception of its potential subcontractors or group companies, which are engaged in the provision of the specific service. Fujitsu does not process Personal Data for its own e.g. marketing purposes.

3 Protection of Personal Data

Fujitsu protects the privacy and security of personal data it collects and processes by ensuring an adequate level of data security. Fujitsu aims to ensure that the measures it takes to protect personal data are in line with the required need for data protection.
